Building an Activist Community is a bootcamp of knowledge and skill sharing. Basically a workshop series! Organized by a couple of student associations across so-called Quebec, this event aims to recognize the historic and ongoing systems of oppression and marginalization as well as the role of various institutions and positionalities in their perpetuation. It also hopes to give activists some tools to combat those oppressive systems, and foster a sense of community around common struggles. So far, confirmed workshops range from cybersecurity and legal defense to mobilization tactics. There will be meals served between workshops.
