Francophone Affairs

Francophone Affairs at SSMU has been very underrepresented in the last few years, often getting bulldozed by other parts of the External Affairs portfolio. Historically, there has been a Commission des Affaires Francophones, which has hosted conferences, organized events, and generally had a mandate of increasing the visibility of Francophone issues on campus. This Commission has been inactive for the last two years, instead included in the Community Affairs Committee, which became the Community Engagement and Francophone Affairs Committee. In Fall 2017, these committees were split once again, and the Commission des Affaires Francophones revived.

***In the 2017-2018 year, this part of the external portfolio has been moved under the presidential portfolio.
